Positive Items In the Media

Man, I sure hate watching the news on television. All I hear about are people getting murdered, the economy going to heck, and now the swine flu ( from what I heard, may not be as dangerous as our media friends want us to think). What happen to positive news? I work for a television station, and when I have to monitor our news, all we get is negative news. If you listen to the media, you think there is nothing that can be done about the world problems and it might be time to drink the kool-aid. Changes that I'd like to see in the news our, focus on people in the community, who have made a positive contribution. During the weekend, we have a story about a positive member of our community. There are films and plays opening up in the city, why not focus on the productions and interview people from these productions. I might get back and write more about this later, but changes like this could change people's way of thinking and we can get out of the mess that Washington has created for us.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is going to be a interesting day. I am trekking up to Chicago for a job interview with a broadcast company up there. The job is similar to what I am doing now, and if the price is right, I am going for it. Actually, I've really started to like working at Fox 59. I got to second shift and I feel that all of the things that I've been taught are finally being applied. I enjoyed the people on the morning shift, but it seems that I all did there was baby sit the channels. I considered not going up tomorrow, but I got a e-mail from a fellow actor in Chicago and all of the opportunities and I feel that I'd be a fool to not at least check the station out. What do you all think?
